About the Event
Are you a practicing clinician who is fatigued from the number of video sessions you
have each day? Do you find yourself googling “ the effects of Zoom fatigue”? Do you miss
interacting with your client in-person, and struggle to handle anxieties produced by connectivity
issues, weak WiFi signal, or working from home? Come to RIAMFT’s open forum about
teletherapy burnout! Ironically enough, we will be gathering virtually to discuss the issues and
stresses of teletherapy!
Earn 1 CEU for attending this free, Members-only, event!
Our facilitator for this Open Forum will be Erica Gilman. Erica is a graduate student in Couple and Family Therapy at the University of Rhode Island. Erica is an intern for United Family and Community Services in CT and works with a variety of diverse individual, couple, and family populations through teletherapy. Erica's area of interest is sexuality.
Erica is nearing the end of her graduate studies, as well as has served as a student representative from URI for the RIAMFT board for about a year.
Learning Outcomes:
Identify 3 signs of teletherapy burnout for clinicians.
Learn 3 self-care strategies to combat burnout.
Be able to identify at least 2 resources (local activities, books, articles, apps, etc.) that
address the effects of burnout.
